Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Supervisor, the Systems Engineer must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Information Technology Department in fully implementing the College’s mission and vision.

Duties & Responsibilities:
This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will work in the Server Infrastructure team and carry out Operational and Project works assigned by Lead System Engineer. This role monitors the Servers and Cloud systems, perform routine analysis, devise solutions for server issues, create implementation plans, provide architecture input and conduct relevant activities relating to CNA-Q’s Server and Cloud infrastructure. Additionally, this role needs to act as the Backup of any Server Infrastructure role as required.
Candidates should have an outstanding record of industry experience in a similar or, related role and possess the qualifications necessary to be successful in the role of Systems Engineer. The successful candidate is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of servers, computer systems, cloud services and virtualization. S/he will interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, perform root cause analysis, and provide technical support when needed, perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, business continuity plans and failover procedures.
This role works in collaboration with Lead System Engineer. The System Engineer will report server infrastructure software or hardware malfunctioning to the Lead System Engineer in a timely manner and ensure that corrective measures can be taken to restore services. Candidates will collaborate with the Lead System Engineer to plan, design and analyze upgrades, expansions and modifications under Server and Cloud infrastructure projects to fulfil business needs. S/he will also execute proper incident, capacity, change and release management plans under Server infrastructure scope.
Candidates will develop plans and implement necessary updates and patches to prepare for possible security hazards, provide timely updates via Service Desk, Email and Telephone according to the IT Operation SLAs and Project communication plans, maintain and support Office 365, exchange, azure AD, ADFS and In-tune and manage Microsoft Products [ADDS, Exchange, SQL, SCCM, SCVMM, SharePoint, SCOM, MIM, etc.] S/he will also proactively manage and maintain Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare, ERP application servers, File and Print solutions, Security systems, Building and Facilities management systems and Hybrid cloud environment.
Candidates will perform daily system monitoring. This includes verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled job. S/he will also develop technical solutions and configure security tools to help identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities and develop and carry out information security plans and policies, create and maintain comprehensive infrastructure documents with diagrams for record purposes and keep abreast of IT infrastructure and emerging technology to increase Server Infrastructure system efficiency and flexibility.
